Tubing on Flat Terrain: Rarely a Limitation

“Our terrain is flat, so tubing isn’t really an option.” We often hear this in conversations. And understandably so, since a tubing slide is quickly associated with a natural slope. In practice, however, flat terrain rarely proves to be a real obstacle.

At Swedice, we don’t just look at what is already there, but above all at what is possible. That is why we work with two tubing product lines, allowing us to realize a suitable solution for different terrains and ambitions.

One of these is Neveplast TUBBY: a classic and efficient solution in which the tubing slides are installed directly on the ground surface. This makes implementation quick and straightforward. If the terrain is flat and lacks a natural slope, a start platform can be added to create sufficient height and speed for the descent. In this way, tubing can be successfully implemented even without existing elevation differences.

In addition, there is Modislide, developed for locations where greater design flexibility is desired. By combining proven Neveplast technology with a modular substructure, the track’s shape and layout can be fully tailored to the location. The required slope is not dependent on the natural terrain, but is instead created through the structure itself. As a result, a tubing slide can be realized even on completely flat ground.

Flat terrain therefore does not have to be a limitation. It can actually serve as the starting point for a suitable solution.
