Swedice delivers 110 meters of sliding fun at De Wijchense Berg
A striking new attraction has recently opened between the two ski slopes of De Wijchense Berg in the Netherlands: the Modi Blitz, a 110-meter-long tubing slide presented on-site as the Mega TubeSlide. The attraction is part of Swedice’s modular Modislide product line. The Modi Blitz offers over twenty seconds of pure sliding fun for the whole family. Visitors descend twelve meters on an inflatable ring, ultimately coming to a controlled stop on a nearly vertical four-meter braking ramp.
It was not the mountain that determined the shape of the slide, but the other way around. The Modi Blitz rests on a freestanding wooden substructure that is completely independent of the ground. As a result, the track was not bound to the slope and the designers could play with shape, speed and experience. That is exactly what makes this attraction different and that is exactly what Modislide stands for: modular tubing attractions that do not rely on natural slopes.
From seasonal recreation to year-round fun
With the arrival of the Modi Blitz, De Wijchense Berg is taking another step towards year-round recreation. The tubing slide fills the space between two slopes without losing any ski space. Zo biedt de locatie ook buiten het winterseizoen volop actie.
More fun. More visitors. Less hassle. That’s Modislide.
